Medicine is uncertainty

Medicine is not full of uncertainty, but it is uncertainty.

Once you enter this field you know how far its uncertainty.

Start from you application to enter medical school. You do not know where your placement will be. Your first choice can stay be your dream. Your last choice be yours.

During interview, it was uncertain too. You can get warm welcome from the most kindhearted interviewer. You can get useful advice or motivation. You can get provocation until you feel like to give up. At very first step? Yes! Only the chosen one will move on this battle until the end.

Once you enter first semester, it seem like oh this easy. I can survive. I aim for A! Read lecture note only. Yes, A can be on your hand. But it can be yours on first paper. Later, you will say I'm grateful enough if I can pass exam. Yes. But you still can get distinction with your super duper effort, tears, test, ups, downs and rizq. It was not  impossible.

Then your preclinical year will end with professional exam. All wish to pass this exam. Only some wish with flying colours. Still, it was not impossible.
Some wish not to fail cause they don't want to suffer in supplementary exam with so much depress mentally.

When you pass pro exam 1, it was so blessed. You feel  so happy and some forget the new adventure ahead. It was not the end. The new endeavour are still waiting in clinical year, the real war field of medicine.

In clinical year, It was so full of adventure. Presentation everyday. Fear. Nervousness. Excitement. Hurt. Tears. Fail. Pass. And the list goes on.

But there is one thing in all the medicine survivor, they don't quit. They fall, they get up. Fall again, get up again. They never easy to left this endeavour.

And the uncertainty continues until the higher level of medical staffs.
And the uncertainty reflects how uncertain the things under Allah hand's. We, human do not have power to against or control it. We plan. And Allah only allow the best to happen according to Him, who The All Knowing.

May Allah rewards all those who sacrifice their life in this battle with rahmah, redha, health, wealth, happiness and Jannah, the absolute hometown we are return to. Amin ya Rabb.
